Modern day influencers?

Was pondering lately… why are the top influencers of our time mainly athletes and entertainers? The seem to get more than their fair share of attention and social authority.

I realize that these things are fun, but are these the right people to dictate our culture and learnings? Are they the right role models for society? And if that’s where the money and fame are, shall we all simply quit what we do and become entertainers instead? Certianly there’s a fortune to be made in celebrity gossip!

I wish more people would follow those who are actually building the world and making an impact on it… like engineers, doctors, scientists, proferssors, thought leaders etc.

Please remember folks, entertainers didn’t create the amazing devices you use to actually follow them! There are others working hard behind the scenes to move the world forward, and they also deserve your attention… and most of them are on LinkedIn not Instagram or TikTok 🙂
